Gemmy International specializes in acquiring difficult to obtain gemstones such as fine and very-fine natural rubies and natural colored diamonds from our international wholesale sourcing network, per individual client requirements.
The fee for gem acquisition is $100 per gem, or gem lot (i.e.: a suite of matched 5mm to 7mm blue sapphires) up to $1000 acquisition cost. Over $1000 it is a flat fee of 10% of acquisition cost per gem, or gem lot. We recommend that decisions to acquire gems be scheduled to coincide with the major gem shows such as Tucson and Las Vegas, as a diligent and savvy buyer can easily save his client more than the cost of the acquisition fee at the best shows. Gemmy will also travel to the major gem markets to personally hunt down the most difficult requests, such as top drawer alexanderite, imperial jade, demantoid, or Paraiba tourmaline.
